Bleeding Heart

About one hour ago, I went for a short walk along the riverfront to take some pictures of tonight’s sunset with the storm rolling in – and on my way back home, I stopped short. Because in a garden, I had discovered a bleeding heart – one of the flowers Robert Fortune, my «English Botanist», brought with him from China.

And in the novel, it is one of the strongest flower symbols within the story.
Perfect moment of happiness!
